Mechanical fixing:

BS 5385 Part 1 is the British Standard requiring large format tiles to be mechanically fixed to a wall above first floor height. This standard has been developed with good reason, but you don’t have to let it get in the way of your design vision when you use mechanical fixing systems indoors.

PORCELAIN:

Our façade division, Eco Friendly Facades, has modified their ventilated rainscreen rail system to work indoors. Now multi-floor spanning atriums or large ceilinged spaces can benefit from the aesthetic and physical benefits of porcelain to whatever height is required.
Depending on the thickness of the tile you’ve chosen, we supply large format panels ether chemically bonded or with hidden anchors, brackets and rails ready to hang. Together with our system partners we’ll help you with calculations for setting out the space and supply drawings so the only thing you need to think about is which of our many colours to choose from.

NATURAL STONE:

Natural stone cladding is a real trend for commercial atriums and foyers for a high impact design statement. Installing natural stone cladding above a certain height has its own parameters but Eco Friendly Tiles can advise on the best way to clad large areas to ensure your project comes within the bounds of British Standards.
We like to think outside the box when it comes to porcelain and cladding so if you have a project that needs some problem solving or even value engineering, contact us to see how we can help.
