Project: 119 Ebury Street

Location: London

Year: 2015

Design: David Morley Architects

Client: Grosvenor Estates

When we found out about 119 Ebury Street, we got excited! A sustainable refurbishment of a heritage building doesn’t come up every day. Clients Grosvenor asked David Morley Architects to redevelop a Grade II listed former hotel into three sustainable apartments. Eco Friendly Tiles have supplied large format, super thin materials for bathrooms across the development. Recently completed, we’d like to congratulate both architect and client for some seriously impressive sustainability accolades!

From the clients website:

“Following the design stage assessment, 119 Ebury Street became the first listed building to achieve a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating. It also won the 2015 Best Global BREEAM Residential Refurbishment Award and runner up in the People’s Choice Award. The judges said: “119 Ebury Street sets a benchmark for the sustainable retrofit of listed buildings in the UK, demonstrating how much their environmental impact can be reduced whilst preserving historically significant urban fabric”.
