Project: Market Place Bolton

Location: Bolton

Year: 2015

Design: Wren Architecture

Eco Friendly Tiles:  4.2.A4.3.B

The Market Place Bolton was once regarded as two separate buildings and has now been amalgamated into one incredible complex… A testament to both the old and the new.

Designed by the talented team at Wren Architecture the project has been recently awarded LABC ‘Winner best large commercial project category’ as well as a host of other accolades.

The shopping centre now houses a 9 screen cinema and new dining, food and beverage hall and incorporates the original ‘market hall’ dating from 1851 and the 1980’s ‘Market Place’. Turning the two buildings into a night time destination for the residents and guests of Bolton.

The design combining ceramic surfaces from Eco Friendly Tiles and an incredible use of natural light throughout has breathed vibrancy and life into this stunning shopping/lifestyle complex and into the city.

Eco Friendly Tiles supplied 4.2.A and 4.3.B Lena range tiles which have been laid on the floors of the main areas throughout the complex in a 600 x 600mm size format. Some speciality floor areas which required high slip surfaces have been treated with a 300 x 300mm grip version of the 4.3.B tile.
